Why We do what we do!

Studies have shown that the lack of properly fitting, quality sneakers can significantly disadvantage children—serving as a visible marker of poverty that negatively affects their social acceptance, academic focus, and physical performance. Children who wear worn-out or ill-fitting, off-brand sneakers are often subject to ridicule, bullying, and social exclusion on school grounds and playgrounds. These experiences can lead to deep emotional distress, including frustration, low self-esteem, depression, anger, and even violent behavior. Conversely, research indicates that access to proper, well-fitting sneakers can enhance a child’s confidence, increase peer acceptance, and contribute positively to both academic achievement and physical activity. A simple pair of shoes can shift a child’s outlook, helping them step forward with dignity, self-worth, and opportunity.
